Word Guesser · what may go on the leaderboards, and how to report what should not
What players can publish
Word Guesser has one place where a player publishes anything: the name attached to a score on the daily leaderboard or the weekly timed leaderboard. There are no messages, no profiles, no comments and no uploads. A name is at most ten characters, and the game reduces it to A–Z and 0–9 before it is stored — so it carries no links, no markup and no punctuation.
What is not allowed
- Offensive names — slurs, harassment, threats, or sexual content.
- Impersonation — pretending to be a real person, company or brand.
- Anything unlawful, or anything that exists only to abuse another player.
A name that breaks this policy is removed from the board. There are no accounts in this game, so there is nothing to ban — removal is the whole enforcement action, and a removed name can be submitted again by whoever sent it. That is a deliberate trade: the boards ask for no personal data at all, and the price of that is that moderation is per entry rather than per person.
How to report a name
In the game. Open a leaderboard, tap ⚑ Report a name under the list, pick the name and pick a category. That sends the name, the board it is on and the category for review. Nothing else is sent — not your name, not your device, not a message.
By email. If you would rather not use the in-game route, write to hr.bons@gmail.com with the name and the board it appeared on.
What happens to a report
- Reports are reviewed by hand. There is no automatic filter beyond the A–Z/0–9 reduction.
- The aim is to look at every report within 7 days and to remove anything that breaks this policy in the same pass.
- Reports are not public, and no one is told who reported what — a report carries no identity to tell.
- There is no appeal process, because there is no account to appeal on behalf of. If a name was removed in error, the same address above reaches a person.
Where this applies
This policy covers the leaderboards inside the Word Guesser Android app. The other games on this page are separate apps; where they carry player-published content they carry their own policy.
